This policy explains what information Shatterdome collects when you use the service, how it's used, and the choices you have. It applies to the Shatterdome website, dashboard, API, and any browser extension we offer.
Account information: your email address and authentication details when you sign up or sign in. Video content and metadata: files or links you submit for fingerprinting, titles, descriptions, thumbnails, and the perceptual fingerprints we generate from them. YouTube connection data: if you connect a YouTube channel, we receive OAuth tokens scoped to the permissions you grant and read channel/video metadata through the YouTube API. Billing information: subscription plan and payment status - card and payment details are collected and stored directly by our payment processor, Stripe; we do not store full card numbers ourselves. Usage data: API requests, job history, and similarity comparison results tied to your account, used for showing you your own history and for basic rate limiting and abuse prevention.
We use your information to operate the service: generating and storing content fingerprints, running similarity comparisons against your protected catalog, producing evidence reports and DMCA drafts, processing subscription payments, and communicating with you about your account. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use the video content you upload to train models for other customers.
We rely on a small number of infrastructure providers to run Shatterdome: Supabase (database hosting), Vercel (application hosting), Stripe (payment processing), and the YouTube Data API (for channels you choose to connect). Each of these providers processes data only as needed to provide their service to us, under their own privacy and security commitments.
We retain your account data, uploaded content, and fingerprints for as long as your account is active, so your protected catalog stays intact and comparisons remain accurate. If you close your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data and uploaded content within a reasonable period, except where we're required to retain billing records for legal or tax purposes.
You can access, export, or delete your account data from your dashboard settings, or by contacting us directly. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws like the GDPR or CCPA, including the right to object to certain processing or request a copy of your data in a portable format.
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and remember basic preferences like theme. We do not currently use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
Shatterdome is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
We'll update the date at the top of this page when this policy changes, and for material changes we'll make a reasonable effort to notify active users by email.
